The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, business mogul Mr. Femi Otedola, Juju music maestro King Sunny Ade, activist-lawyer Mr. Femi Falana, Hip-hop artiste David Adeleke (Davido) and 38 other prominent Yoruba have been honoured by the Yoruba Leaders Forum (YLF) with awards.
Tinubu got YLF’s Lifetime Achievement in Politics and Leadership.
In a statement by George Olufemi Ogunjimi and Pade Olapoju, the coordinator and communications director of the YLF, Juju music maestro King Sunny Ade was honoured with the lifetime achievement in music and entertainment.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Ogun State Governor Mr. Dapo Abiodun, Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat were rewarded for good governance. Otedola was given an award for corporate good governance.
Also honoured were the Afenifere leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) leader and Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland Chief Gani Adams, former Ogun State governor Otunba Gbenga Daniel and former APC Interim Chairman and ex-Osun State Governor Chief Bisi Akande.
In the music category, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, Yinka Aiyefele and Davido were rewarded for distinguishing themselves in their brands of music.
In the law category, Falana and Mr. Supo Ojo got awards, while Mrs. Funke Akindele-Bello got award in the entertainment category.
Chief Dele Momodu and Mr. Lekan Ogunbanwo were given awards in journalism and broadcasting.
Other recipients included Dr. Funke Opeke, Chief Michael Ayo Otedola Jnr, Mrs. Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, Dr. Temitayo Ogunmefun and Mrs. Biodun Stephen Oladigbo.
Also on the awardees’ list were Mother Esther Ajayi, Prof. Olusegun Ogunjimi, Mrs. Toyin Folashade Sanni, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, Princess Yemisi Banjoko Ogunyemi, Pastor Peter Oyebobola, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the UK Amb. Sarafa Tunji Isola, Dr. Olabisi Deji-Folutile, Princess Folaji Fasanya-Omoyeni, Chief Samson Oshitola, Ms. Folake Mustapha and Yeye Oge Olushola Musa.
The YLF also gave awards to Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Pastor
Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Most Venerable Evangelist Nunayon, Most Venerable Evangelist Amos Fatusin, Most Venerable Evangelist Wale Onafuye and Most Venerable Evangelist John Maforikan.
Mr. Michael Oke Fatuase, a UK-based business mogul and Mrs. Olukemi Olumide-Ojo, an Ekiti State governorship hopeful, also made the list of the Distinguished Personalities of the Year.
