Kannywood film industry actress Samira Ahmad has revealed that despite not making many appearances in movies recently, she is still part and parcel of the Hausa film-making industry.

The film actress, who is also a film producer, humanitarian and interior decorator has been one of the finest actresses Kannywood as a film making industry has ever produced in the last three decades. Samira Ahmad has been an actress sought by every producer for her ability to perfectly interpret every role given to her.

The actress revealed that she was introduced into the film industry by her close friend Mansura Isa, the wife of Kannywood actor and singer Sani Musa Danja adding that ever since her debut the industry has been a home to her. However, the actress’s absence from the screen of her fans has triggered a lot of questions on the possibilities of the screen diva quitting the industry but when confronted with the question, the actress said, “Samirah Ahmed is still part and parcel of the movie-making industry known as Kannywood”.

Actress Samira Ahmad was born on 24th September in Nassarawa local government area of Kano state in Nigeria; Samirah attended Giginyu Special Primary School and later proceeded to Government Girl’s Secondary Jogana in Kano. After completing her secondary school the actress ventured into the film-making industry and later went back to Federal College of Education Kano (FCE) where she obtained a diploma certificate in accounting and auditing.

The actress also revealed that Kannywood has been a big family and that she will always be proud of being part of it. The actress also agreed that she has not been regular in the film-making business as an actress, but that does not mean she has quit the industry. She explained that she has ventured into film production and she loves doing things according to standard, which is why she has not been regular in the industry lately.

She added that Kannywood has given her so much to be grateful and also her business has been a success story worth telling and that was why she felt the need to show her appreciation and gratitude through assisting others to attain their life’s dream.

“I will forever be indebted to Kannywood film-making industry because it has accorded me the opportunity of becoming who I am today. It gives me a lot to remember as well as to cherish as a person and that is why I am happy and proud of being an actress because being an actress has accorded me the opportunity to address various societal issues through films that ordinarily I wouldn’t have done,” she said.

The actress who played the lead role in movies like ‘Sai na dawo, Garin dadi, Bissalam and Na Mamajo’ and it was also gathered that the actress had sponsored over 100 students to study in various institutions of learning and she had also undertaken projects of providing boreholes in girl’s secondary schools in Jogana among other places.

Samira Ahmad was born on 24th September in kano state where she grew up with her parents.

The beautiful actress is an interior decorator, She obtained her primary and secondary certificates in her hometown.

It can be recalled that She got married to her fellow colleague TY Shaban who is a Dancer, musician, and TV Producer.

Samira later got a divorce after a few misunderstandings with her husband.

Although She has retired from the movie industry she still works behind the scenes.

She is recognized by the majority Hausa/Fulani community after her role in the movie “Namamajo” where she acted as a poor disabled damsel in order to find her true love.

It was gathered that She has never been quarry or suspended in the movie industry.

Samira has won several awards for her outstanding performance in her acting career.
