The Kebbi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) have deployed a total number of Five hundred and fifty officers and men across the state to provide security of lives and property before, during and after the sallah celebration.
This information was contained in a press release by the command spokesman, DSC Akeem Adeyemi on Monday.
Adeyemi said the state commandant, Suleman Ibrahim Mafara has directed all Area Commanders and the Divisional Officers across the state to ensure full compliance to this directive and make sure no stone is left unturned.
“The deployment which cut across uniform and plain clothes undercover have been deployed to strategic flashpoints across the state.
“The men of the agro rangers have also been adequately mobilised for the Yuletide.
”All critical national assets and infrastructure have been adequately manned, worship centres, recreational centres, market places and motor parks have also enjoyed adequate deployment among others.” He said.
While congratulating all the Muslim faithful across the state for the successful completion of ramadan, Commandant Mafara urge them to uphold the numerous teachings of the period and be good Nigerians.
He assures every law abiding citizen in the state to go about their lawful activities with no fear, as adequate security measures are in place for a successful celebration.
According to the commandant, “it is only the wicked that should be afraid because my men are everywhere and it does not matter how long, but assures the long arm of the law would definitely catch up with them”.
