She says a team of experts from the sector and other relevant aid drawn from various agencies are in the entourage of the governor.

Hajiya Rabo Ringim said that the move to boost wheat farming in the state was part of state Governor Alh Umar Namadi’s administration’s agenda to consolidate Jigawa State as the number one wheat farming state in the country.

The governor and his team, while in the east African nation, would explore innovative agricultural practices and deploy them to boost the sector in Jigawa.

Hajiya Rabo Ringim revealed that her principal and his team would particularly study Ethiopia’s National Wheat Production Initiative and engage in cognate experience-sharing to grow wheat farming in the state.

The statement said that “of interest are the Ethiopian rain-fed and irrigated wheat production fields that made her a number one spot in Africa in anticipation of domesticating lessons here in the state.”

According to the Senior Special Assistant in Media Affairs, the study tour was in fulfillment of Governor Umar Namadi’s administration’s desire to enhance food security and generate employment in the state and beyond.
