The Kano State House of Assembly has approved the appointment of twenty Special Advisers by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Daily News 24 reports that the approval was given during a plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Ismail Jibrin Falgore in accordance with order 196/2 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

A statement by the House Chief Press Secretary, Uba Abdullahi noted that the approval follows a letter transmitted to the House by the Governor requesting for the appointment which was deliberated before the floor of the House and an agreement reached.

The House adjourned sitting to 19th June, 2023 in a motion moved by the Majority Leader Hon Lawan Husaini of Dala Constituency and was seconded by Minority Leader, Labaran Abdul Madari of Warawa Constituency.
