A well-known musician, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, was apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday. The arrest was made due to his alleged failure to settle a debt he owed to a local car dealer after purchasing a G-Wagon.

According to sources, it has been discovered that whenever the car dealer reaches out to him for payment, he consistently alleges that the vehicle is defective.

After unsuccessful attempts to collect the outstanding balance from Portable, it was reported that the car dealer decided to involve the police. Subsequently, law enforcement officers were assigned to investigate the matter and ultimately apprehended Portable.

Upon being contacted, Benjamin Hundeyin, the State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest of Portable.

He said, “Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”
