The Enugu State Police Command says its operatives have begun tracking down the masked hoodlums who attacked the Inyi Police Station in the state’s Oji River Local Government Area.

DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the Command’s spokesperson, confirmed the news on Sunday in Enugu.

“Police operatives are on the trail of the masked hoodlums,” Ndukwe said. Please keep me updated on any developments regarding the incident.”

However, the police spokesperson did not specify the timing, material, or human casualties involved in the attack.

According to a witness who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the armed hoodlums attacked the station at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday.

He stated that two people were reportedly killed by the rampaging hoodlums at the station during the attack, one of whom was confirmed to be a police officer.
